Compact Patio Group

The Compact Patio Group of clematis, also known as the “Boulevard patented series, was co-developed by Raymond Evison and Poulsen Roser in Denmark to meet the needs of small-space gardening. These clematis varieties are characterized by their compact, dwarf growth habit (mature height 0.5–1.5 m; e.g., ‘Bijou’ only reaches 30–50 cm) and exceptional floriferousness (multi-layered blooming with axillary flower buds, ensuring abundant blooms). They are shade-tolerant, low-maintenance, and ideal for container planting or small-space decoration. Popular cultivars include ‘Josephine’ and ‘Bijou’.
